5th Annual Duck Race on the Wabash

$1000 GRAND PRIZE

Twenty-nine other prizes valued at $50 to $150.

The FCS Board and staff are making plans for the 5th Annual “Duck Race on the Wabash” to be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Kehoe Park in Bluffton. As a nonprofit social service agency, local fundraising is crucial to our ability to provide life-saving and life-changing services to children and families in our communities. Our goal is to realize at least $25,000 in profit to assist us in sustaining our programs in Wells and Huntington Counties.

The event includes free children’s games, music and snacks from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. with the ducks plunging off the bridge into the Wabash at 2:00 p.m.. The ducks will “swim” down the river, racing to the finish line where our valiant volunteers from the Wells County Fire Departments will be waiting to pluck them out of the water as they cross the finish line. The first duck to cross the finish line will be the grand prize winner; the second duck will win the second prize etc.

To volunteer, be a sponsor or to purchase ducks please contact Family Centered Services’ Development Director, at 260-824-8574 or at fcs@parlorcity.com.
